The legendary hero in Ragnars saga loðbrókar whose by-name "Loðbrók" translates as "Hairy-breeches." The name was given to him because of the protective clothing he wore when he slew a linnormr that was guarding Þóra, daughter of Herruðr. Ragnar married Þóra and after after her death married Kráka, who turned out to be Aslaug.
