Jacob Schimmelmann's retelling of Snorri's Prose Edda. Schimmelmann’s Edda features five illustrations that he borrowed and/or revised from other sources. Two of the revised illustrations are from Christoph Hartknoch’s Alt- Und Neues Preussen oder Preussischer Historien Zwey Theile (Old and New Prussia, or a history of Prussia in two parts) that was published in 1684.
